What is embossing?

It is possible to leave an image on paper without paint — by pressing an embossed imprint in its surface. Historically, the embosser was used as a security seal, irreplaceable in sealing apostilles. In the digital era, embossing has gained even more uses — thanks to its exclusive nature as a design element, it is used for adoring securities, diplomas, books, photographs and works of art.
